Gift Vouchers That Sell Themselves: Experience or Value, Paid and Delivered Online
Sell Experience vouchers or value vouchers directly from your own website, let guests pay and send them online, and redeem them in the restaurant by QR code or at reservation.

Gustaio's voucher system is fully configurable, built into your booking flow, and takes a guest from "what a lovely gift" to "voucher in the inbox" in under two minutes.
A voucher is the easiest sale in hospitality: the money arrives before the guest does, and a new guest walks through your door. Yet most restaurants still handle vouchers with paper pads, phone calls and bank transfers. Gustaio turns it into a self-service product that runs on your own website.
Two Types of Vouchers, One Setup
You decide what you sell, and you can offer both side by side:
- Experience vouchers: The gift is a specific Experience, for example "Steak Tasting for 4". The giver picks the Experience and the number of guests, and the price follows from your Experience settings.
- Value vouchers: The giver chooses an amount, and the recipient spends it on whatever they like, from a dinner to a bottle of wine.
Amounts, designs, validity and the wording on the card are configured per restaurant. The live preview shows the giver exactly what the recipient will receive, in your colours.
Experience voucher in the purchase wizard (Moretto's): choose the Experience and guests, with a live preview of the card.
The same wizard in the dark design of Stochas: every restaurant gets its own look.
Pay Online, Send Instantly
The purchase is part of your website, not a detour to a third-party shop:
- The guest picks the voucher and adds a personal greeting.
- They pay online with the payment methods you already use.
- The voucher is delivered by email right away, or on a date the giver chooses, for example the birthday morning.
The recipient gets a beautiful card with a unique code and a QR code. It can also be printed as a luxury certificate with one click.
Redeemed in the Restaurant, in Seconds
Redemption is where many voucher systems fall apart. With Gustaio there are two simple paths:
- QR code scan: Staff scan the code in the Terminal. The remaining balance appears at once, and partial redemption is supported, so a 100 € voucher can be used for 60 € tonight and 40 € next time.
- At reservation: The guest enters the voucher code while booking. The amount is reserved for that booking, so the guest only pays the remainder online, and the restaurant converts it into a redemption at check-in.
Every deduction is logged with a full audit trail. If a booking paid with a voucher is cancelled, the amount is restored to the voucher, never paid out as cash. If a guest does not show up, you can charge the no-show fee directly against the reserved voucher amount.

Why It Matters
- Cash flow first: Revenue arrives before the visit.
- New guests: Every voucher brings a guest who may not have known you.
- No admin: No paper, no manual codes, no chasing payments.
- Your brand: The voucher shop lives on your own domain and in your own design, as you can see on the websites of Moretto's Steakhouse and Stochas.
Activate vouchers in your dashboard under Experiences, choose your designs and amounts, and your restaurant has a gift shop that never closes.
