Complete guides for employees and supervisors to make the most of your team meal ordering system

Workbite User Guide

Welcome to Workbite! This guide will help you understand how to use the business order feature to order meals from your company's partner restaurants.

What is Workbite?

Workbite is a business meal ordering system that allows employees to order meals through their company account. Orders are typically subsidized or paid for by your employer, making it easy to get delicious meals delivered to your workplace.

Getting Started

Step 1: Register Your Business Code

Your company will provide you with a unique business code that connects your account to your organization. There are two ways to register this code:

Option A: Manual Entry via User Profile

  1. Open the Gustaio app
  2. Navigate to your Profile page (tap the profile icon in the top right corner)
  3. Scroll down to find the Business Code section
  4. Tap on the business code input field
  5. Enter the business code provided by your company
  6. The app will validate the code automatically
  7. Once validated, tap Add to register the code to your account

Note: If your business code starts with "ADM", you're registering as a supervisor with additional management capabilities.

Option B: Scan QR Code

  1. Use your phone's camera app or a QR code scanner app
  2. Point your camera at the QR code provided by your company
  3. The QR code will contain a link that opens the Gustaio app
  4. The app will automatically open the business code registration page
  5. The code will be validated and registered to your account

Tip: QR codes may be posted at your workplace or sent to you by email. Some QR codes are also used for table ordering at specific locations.

Ordering Meals

Accessing the Business Menu

Once you've registered your business code:

  1. Open the app and go to the Home screen
  2. You'll see a toggle switch at the top to enable Business Mode
  3. Turn on Business Mode to access your company's partner restaurants
  4. Browse the available restaurants that participate in your company's meal program
  5. Select a restaurant to view their business menu

Selecting an Order Date

Business orders allow you to order meals in advance:

  1. When you open a restaurant's business menu, you'll see a date selector at the top
  2. Choose the date you want your meal delivered:
    • Today: Order for same-day delivery (if available based on deadlines)
    • Tomorrow: Plan ahead for the next day
    • Future dates: Some restaurants allow ordering several days in advance
  3. The menu will update to show items available for your selected date

Important: Each restaurant has order deadlines. Make sure to place your order before the deadline for your chosen date. The deadline is usually displayed prominently in the app.

Understanding Menu Groups

Business menus are often organized by meal type:

  • Breakfast: Morning meals
  • Lunch: Midday meals
  • Dinner: Evening meals
  • Snacks: Light refreshments

Select the appropriate menu group for your desired meal time. The available options will change based on the time of day and menu group.

Browsing and Selecting Items

Menu Categories

Items are organized into categories such as:

  • Pizzas
  • Pasta
  • Salads
  • Soups
  • Sandwiches
  • Beverages
  • Desserts

Tap on a category to expand and view available items.

Item Details

For each menu item, you can see:

  • Name and description in your language
  • Allergen information (tap the allergen icon to view details)
  • Availability (some items are only available at certain times)

Note: Prices are not displayed in business orders as payment is handled by your company according to their internal policies.

Selecting Items

Important: Business orders allow only ONE item per order. This is because most business menus are designed with combo meals that provide complete, balanced options.

  1. Tap on an item to view full details
  2. Review the item description and allergen information
  3. If the item is a combo, you'll be guided through the selection process (see combo section below)
  4. The item is automatically added to your order when you make your selection

Understanding Business Order Restrictions

Business orders work differently from regular orders:

  • One item per order: You can only select one menu item per order (usually a combo meal)
  • No prices shown: Payment is handled by your company, so prices are not displayed
  • Limited customization: Most items cannot be customized (no extras, custom pizzas, or modifications)
  • Combo-based menus: Most items are combo meals that provide complete meal options

These restrictions ensure efficient ordering and billing for your company's meal program.

Using the Combo Configurator

Combos are meal deals that let you choose multiple items together, often at a better value.

How Combos Work

  1. Select a combo from the menu (e.g., "Lunch Combo", "Pizza & Drink Deal")
  2. The Combo Configurator will open, showing you a multi-step selection process
  3. Each step asks you to choose one component of the combo

Combo Selection Steps

Step-by-step process:

  1. Step 1: Choose your main item

    • Browse available options (e.g., all available pizzas)
    • Items may be filtered by category (only pizzas, only vegetarian options, etc.)
    • Select one item to continue
  2. Step 2: Choose your side item

    • Select from available sides (e.g., salad, fries, bread)
    • Again, options may be pre-filtered based on the combo rules
  3. Step 3: Choose your drink

    • Pick from available beverages
    • Some combos allow multiple selections (e.g., choose 2 drinks)
  4. Step 4: Review and customize

    • See a summary of your combo selections
    • Add any allowed extras to individual items
    • Check the total price
  5. Finish: Tap Add to Cart to complete your combo selection

Combo Filters and Rules

When selecting items within a combo, the configurator only shows items that match the restaurant's rules. This ensures you can only choose appropriate items for each step of the combo.

Editing Your Combo

Important: Once you've completed a combo selection, you cannot edit it. If you need to make changes:

  1. Delete the combo from your order
  2. Start the combo configurator again
  3. Make your new selections from the beginning

Checkout Process

Reviewing Your Order

Business orders work differently from regular orders:

  • One item only: Your order will contain only the single item you selected

    • Delivery location: Your workplace address (already set in your business profile)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much do I pay for business orders? A: Payment is handled by your company according to their internal policies. Prices are not shown in the business order system. Check with your HR department for details about your company's meal program.

Q: Can I order for multiple days at once? A: No, you need to place separate orders for each day. However, you can switch between dates easily in the app.

Q: Why can I only order one item? A: Business orders are limited to one item per order because the menus are designed with combo meals that provide complete, balanced options. This also simplifies billing and administration for your company.

Q: Can I customize items or add extras? A: Most business order items cannot be customized. The menu is pre-configured by your company and the restaurant to ensure efficient ordering and preparation.

Q: What if I need to cancel my order? A: Cancellation policies vary by restaurant. Generally, you can cancel before the order deadline. Check the order details or contact the restaurant.

Q: Can I order for my colleagues? A: Regular employees typically can only order for themselves. Supervisors may have the ability to order on behalf of team members (see Supervisor Guide).

Q: Are there order limits? A: Your company may set daily or weekly order limits. These will be enforced automatically by the app. Contact HR if you have questions about your limits.

Q: What if the restaurant gets my order wrong? A: Contact the restaurant directly using the contact information in your order details. Your supervisor can also help resolve issues.

Q: Can I use my business code at any restaurant? A: No, your business code only works at restaurants that have partnered with your company. You'll see only these restaurants when in Business Mode.

Q: What's the difference between Business Mode and regular ordering? A: Business Mode shows company-specific menus with one-item orders and no prices (payment handled by company). Regular mode is for personal orders that you pay for yourself with full customization options.
